Obituary of Mary V. DiCecco
Mary V. DiCecco, 96, of Norristown, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2017 at Regina Nursing Center.
She was born in Greensburg, PA on May 9, 1921, the daughter of Mosé and Veneranda Verratti.
Prior to being a resident of Regina Nursing Center, Mary lived in Jeffersonville and Folsom, PA, where she resided for 48 years. She was a member of Saint Teresa of Avila Church, Norristown, PA and a former member of Our Lady of Peace Church of Milmont Park, PA.
Mary was the beloved wife of the late Dominic J. DiCecco. In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Nazarene Verratti and Nicholas Verratti, and three sisters, Rose Italiano, Ann Cornacchia, and Philomena Malinowski.
Survivors include her daughter, Marianne (Kenneth) Zollers of Eagleville; son, Joseph (Sara) DiCecco of Rochester, MN; and sister in law, Mary Savelloni of Sutton, MA.
Mary was the dear grandmother of John (Bethany) Zollers, Daniel (Laura) Zollers, Anna DiCecco, Marissa DiCecco, and Nicholas DiCecco; great grandmother of Theodore Zollers, and an aunt of many much loved nieces and nephews.
Mary’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday July 7, 2017 at 10:00 AM from the Regina Nursing Center, 550 E. Fornance St., Norristown, PA 19401. Fr. J. Jerome Wild will celebrate the Mass.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday morning from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at Regina Nursing Center.
Interment will take place in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield Twp.
