Mabel was a life-long resident of Conshohocken. She was a member of Plymouth Meeting Evangelical Congregational Church. Mabel was also a member of the Harmonville Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Conshohocken VFW Post #1074 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Chicken Headers of Montgomery County.

Obituary of Mabel A. Gray

Mabel A. Gray, age 95, a life-long resident of Conshohocken, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017. She was born in Conshohocken on November 29, 1921, the daughter of the late Harvey S. and Emma (Matz) Smith. Mabel had a long career working at Woolworth's in Plymouth Square. She was a member of Plymouth Meeting Evangelical Congregational Church. Mabel was also a member of the Harmonville Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Conshohocken VFW Post #1074 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Chicken Headers of Montgomery County. Mabel was the beloved wife of the late Merrill G. Gray. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon A. ( & James) Sylvester of Spring City, PA; son, Harvey D. "Bud" ( & Louise) Foster of Leesville, SC; daughter, Sandra ( & Joseph) Mathis of Venice, FL; sister, Betty Casey of Plymouth Meeting, PA; as well as 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, Mabel was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Laffredo. Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428. Friends may call on Monday morning from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will take place in George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Multiple Sclerosis Society, 30 South 17th Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19103. Mabel was a life-long resident of Conshohocken. She was a member of Plymouth Meeting Evangelical Congregational Church. Mabel was also a member of the Harmonville Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Conshohocken VFW Post #1074 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Chicken Headers of Montgomery County.
