He received his PhD from University of California. Leon worked as a Bio Chemist with the Veterans Administration Coatesville, Pa. He was a member of the Lions Club. Leon was a very charitable man who enjoyed reading, playing hand ball, and his pets and the outdoors, He most enjoyed spending time with his family.

Dr. Leon J. Gonzales, Ph.D. 85, of Collegeville, PA passed away on Thursday April 5, 2018. He was born in San Francisco, CA on August 31, 1932. Leon has lived in Collegeville, PA since 1975, formerly of King of Prussia, PA. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War, where he received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He received his Ph.D. from University of California. Leon worked as a Bio Chemist with the Veterans Administration Coatesville, PA. He was a member of the Limerick Lions Club. Leon was a very charitable man, who enjoyed reading, playing hand ball, his pets and the outdoors. He most enjoyed spending time with his family. Son of the late - Joseph P. & Irma Louise ( Hazard ) Gonzales. Survivors include his Wife: Germaine ( Polinski ) Gonzales Collegeville PA Son: Anthony (& Linda) Gonzales West Norriton PA Son: Timothy (& Ellen) Gonzales Gainesville FL Son: Christopher Polinski Collegeville PA Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Patricia. His Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 10:30 AM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 West Main Street, Trappe, PA 19426. Friends may call on Thursday Morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
