Obituary of Ruth M. Currier

Ruth M. (Kinckiner) Currier, 87, of Plymouth Meeting, PA passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Mercy Suburban Hospital of East Norriton, PA. Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 14, 1927, Ruth has lived in Plymouth Meeting, PA since 1951, formerly of Roxborough section of Philadelphia, PA. She was a member of St. Paul's RC Church of Norristown, PA where she was a member of Ladies Auxiliary. She worked as an executive secretary. Ruth was a member of Questers Historical Society. She was one of the original founders of the Girl Scouts in Montgomery County and a First Wing Scout Troop in Philadelphia. Ruth enjoyed traveling, reading and was known for the candy she made. Survivors include her daughter, Denise (& James) Lewis of East Norriton, PA; sons, Brian Currier of Bridgeport, PA and Kevin Currier of Plymouth Meeting, PA; brother, Francis Kinckiner of East Falls, PA. She is also survived by 6 Grandchildren and Several Nieces & Nephews . Along with her husband, Isaac E. Currier, and parents, Francis Kinckiner and Helena R. (Adams), she was preceded in death by a son, Robert B. Currier , a sister, Joan Wojtkielewicz, and a brother, Robert Kinckiner. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 10:00 AM from the St. Paul RC Church, 2007 New Hope, Norristown, Pa 19401. Clergy: Fr. Harry McCreedy officiating. Friends may call on Sunday afternoon from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Moore & Snear Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA 19401 as well as Monday morning from 9:00 to 9:45 AM at the Church. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery in East Norriton, PA. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to: St. Paul's RC Church at the above address.
