Obituary of Emma Mary Goodson

Emma Mary Goodson, 84, of Pensacola, FL passed away peacefully on May 19, 2016 at her daughter's home in Upper Providence Twp surrounded by her loving family. Emma was the beloved wife of the late Jack Goodson, with whom she shared almost 50 years of marriage. She was born in Norristown, PA on July 17, 1931. Emma has been living in Pensacola, FL for 13 years, formerly of Eagleville, PA. She enjoyed bowling and loved playing bingo. Most of all, she was a loving grandmother to her two grandsons, and recently had the joy of meeting her new great granddaughter, Olivia Grace. Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Elsie Deyoc. Survivors include her daughter, Lisa (&Anthony) Palmieri of Upper Providence, PA; son, Barry Goodson of Pensacola, FL; brother, Frank (Pat) Deyoc; sister, Linda (Bruce) West; sister, Catherine (James) Miller; grandson, Anthony (Meredith) Palmieri; grandson, Andrew Palmieri; and her great granddaughter, Olivia Grace. In addition to her parents and husband, Emma was preceded in death by her son Frank and three brothers. Her Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 7:00 PM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 W. Main St., Trappe, PA 19426. Fr. Paul Brandt will officiate. Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private in Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, FL. Emma has been living in Pensacola, FL for 13 years, formerly of Eagleville, PA. She enjoyed bowling and loved playing bingo. Most of all, she was a loving grandmother to her two grandsons, and recently had the joy of seeing her great granddaughter be born.
