Obituary of Yolanda Rose Flora

Yolanda Rose Flora, age 96, of Spring City, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

Born in Norristown, PA, on May 12, 1928, Yolanda was the beloved daughter of the late Vincent and Louise (Cione) Flora. Her sharp wit and sweet smile brought joy to those around her.

For the past 29 years, Yolanda made her home in Spring City, previously residing in East Norriton. A devoted member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Spring City, her faith was a guiding light and source of strength throughout her life.

Throughout the years Yolanda worked in various retail positions outside of the home but also was a proud homemaker who found great joy in the simple pleasures of cooking and baking, reading, and putting her thoughts to paper. She was also involved in her community—volunteering with St. Titus Church and serving as Past President of the Circle Club of Vincent Heights. Her giving heart and generous spirit touched many.

Those who knew Yolanda will remember her not only for her devotion and strong faith but also for her sense of humor, her spirited stories, and her ability to make others to laugh. She was the kind of woman who could turn an ordinary afternoon into a celebration.

She is survived by her loving children: daughters Lorraine Santangelo of West Norriton and Mary Ellen Giangiulio of Collegeville; son Jack (Lisa) Giangiulio of Montgomery, TX; and her cherished sisters Florence (the late Louis) Serafine, Louise (the late Joseph) Smith, and Eleanor (Carl) Stotler, all of Collegeville. Yolanda was a proud grandmother to Stacey Santangelo, Tara Santangelo, and Mia Giangiulio, and a delighted great-grandmother to Adrianna Wright and Sienna Stewart. She also leaves behind many adored nieces and nephews who always looked forward to her jokes and hugs.

Yolanda is reunited in Heaven with her parents and six siblings—Louis, Salvatore, Vincent Jr., Pearl Ann, Ida, and Edward—whom she held close in her heart every day.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in her honor on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph RC Church, 3640 Schuylkill Rd., Spring City, PA. Friends and family are invited to gather for a viewing from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church.

She will be laid to rest at Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA.

Yolanda’s light will continue to shine in the laughter she inspired, the stories she told, and the love she gave so freely.
