Obituary of Nicholas P. (Stampone) Chichilitti

Nicholas P. (Stampone) Chichilitti, age 85, formerly of the Far Northeast section of Philadelphia, PA  passed away peacefully on Friday, June 20, 2025 after an illness. 

He was born in the Tacony section of Philadelphia, PA on February 26, 1940, the son of the late Nicholas P. Stampone and the late Susan (Columbo) Stampone.  Nick was a graduate of Father Judge High School where he was later inducted into the Hall of Fame.  He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Temple University where he was an All American baseball player.  He then signed to play professional baseball with the Kansas City Athletics organization from 1960 to 1963.  

He had a long career in Sales for Procter and Gamble.  He was well known for running men's rough touch football leagues in the Philadelphia area.  He umpired men's softball games for many years as well.   

He is survived by three sons, Nicholas D. Chichilitti (Daneen Marchiano), Christopher D. Chichilitti, and Peter D. (Jennifer) Chichilitti; two daughters, Susan Chichilitti (Luke Witczak) and Stacey Chichilitti; six grandchildren, Nicole (Greg), Danielle, Gabriella, Francesca, Christopher Jr. and Logan; and great granddaughter, Autumn.  He is also survived by former wives Irene Mosca and Nancy Behan.   

The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428.

Interment will be private.
