Obituary of Robert A. Cummins

Robert A. Cummins  

 

Robert A. “Bobby” Cummins, 69, a lifelong resident of Upper Merion Township passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025. He was born in Norristown, PA on December 3, 1955, son of the late Arthur R. and Mary (Ryan) Cummins. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald C. Cummins.

 

He graduated from Upper Merion High School in 1973. From an early age, he worked alongside his father as an auto mechanic at Cummins Exxon in King of Prussia, PA where his mechanic skill, strong work ethic, and friendly nature made him well known in the community. He later took over ownership of the family business when his father retired, and continued his career with Jamison’s Towing and Automotive Repair Service.

 

He is survived by his loving daughters Amy Pluck of Clinton, CT, and Amanda (Brendon) Pluck of Guilford, CT his sister, Barbara Wilson of Wayne, PA, and his brother, Richard (Donna) Cummins of Bridgeport, PA along with close cousins. He will also be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Sean Cummins, Megan Bowe, Kara Antenucci and Ryan Cummins and by his six cherished grandchildren: Brian, Cassidy, Ava, Molly, Mikaela and Brendon Pluck.

 

An avid golfer, passionate and dedicated Philadelphia sports fan, Bobby can be remembered for his generosity, sense of humor, and his unmistakable laugh. He had a big heart and an even bigger love for his family and friends.

 

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, November 14, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA. Followed by his Memorial Service at 10:30 AM.

 

Interment will be private.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bobby’s memory to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at www.afsp.org.

 

Bobby will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the laughter he shared, the kindness he gave, and the love he held for those closest to him.
