Dear Joe Jr., and the entire DiGiovanni family, My sincere condolences on the loss of your father and a great friend to many. I had the privilege of playing American Legion baseball with Joe Jr. on the Ivy Ridge Panthers over 40 years ago, and I vividly remember Joe at the games. His presence, confidence, and overwhelming support for the team made us feel like we were playing in the World Series every game. That enthusiasm and overwhelming confidence were infectious. He was a true and genuine fan. I only met Joe briefly, but he had a wonderful way of making me feel like I had known him my whole life. Over the course of your life, you don't meet many people as true and genuine as him. I was happy to read that he was loved by many and that he loved many people in return. He was a great man that made a very positive impression on me when I was a very young man. I will always be grateful for that. With deepest sympathy, Dave Coyne
