Mary Ellen Earley  

Mary Ellen Earley, 106, of Lafayette Hill, PA passed away Monday, January 19, 2026. 

She was born in Philadelphia, Pa on June 5, 1919, the daughter of the late Daniel and the late Delia Bridget ( McKenna ) Earley.

Mary Ellen grew up in Philadelphia, but has been living in Lafayette Hill for the last 30 years (formerly of Conshohocken and the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia).

As a child she and her family would spend their summers in Cornwall, PA, where her father worked as a butler at a wealthy businessman’s summer residence.

In her young adult years, she volunteered with the USO, attending all the Catholic Friday night dances and dancing with sailors, marines and soldiers from all over the world.

She worked for almost 50 years as a Payroll/Accounting Supervisor with Triangle Publications; first in Philadelphia for the Philadelphia Inquirer and then later in Radnor, PA for TV Guide.

She lived her life devoted to God and the Catholic faith. Mary (Mimi) loved her family and friends and had the kindest, sweetest soul.

We all are better for having her in our lives.

Survivors include niece Christine Earley, nephew James Earley, niece Maryellen (Mike) DeLuca, and a great niece, Tessa.

She is preceded in death by her three brothers Daniel, James and Joseph, and two sisters-in-law, Helen and Kathy.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 10:30 AM from St. Philip Neri RC Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA.

Friends may call on Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the church. 

Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
