Peter M. Torrence, Jr., age 91, of East Norriton, PA passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026.

He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on February 9, 1935, the son of the late Peter M. and Helen (Terry) Torrence.

Prior to his retirement, Peter worked as a Computer Programmer for Unisys in Blue Bell, PA.  He honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marie L. Torrence (née Huck) of East Norriton; son, Matthew Torrence of East Norriton; daughter, Hillary Torrence (Brian Berger) of Brooklyn, NY; granddaughter, Poppy Berger Torrence; sister, Elizabeth (James) Scanlon; and sister in-law, Roslyn Gaskins. 

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Stephen and his brother, Paul Gaskins. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 26 at 12:00 PM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 E. Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA 19401.  Relatives and friends may call on Thursday morning from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Funeral Home.  

Interment will be private in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Saint Patrick Church, 703 Green Street, Norristown, PA 19401.
