Obituary of Marian Majka

Marian Majka of Plymouth Township, Pa., passed away after a long illness on Sunday, May 26, 2013, at Mercy Suburban Hospital of East Norriton Twp., Pa. He was 82. He was a retired welder, last employed with Florig Industrial Co. of Conshohocken, retiring in 1996. He was the loving husband of 60 years of Genowefa (Chlopecka) Majka. Born in Klyz Poland on November 25, 1930, he was the son of the late Jan and Katarzyna (Lata) Majka. He immigrated to New York City in 1962, and he resided in Plymouth Twp. since 1971. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Conshohocken and of the Society Volunteers as an usher with the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa of Doylestown, Pa. He was a member of the TK Club of Conshohocken and most enjoyed spending time with his family. Besides his wife, Marian is survived by daughters Alicja Wilczynski, Celine (Matthew) Radatti, both of Plymouth Twp.; grandchildren Jennifer Radatti, Christopher, Ania and Andrew (Krista) Wilczynski; great-grandchildren Aliana, Jacob, Colin and Ava; and sister Stanislawa Janeczek. Marian is also survived by seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Chester Majka, and his brother, Brono Majka. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 30, 2013, at 10 A.M. at St. Mary's RC Church, Elm & Maple Sts., Conshohocken. Friends may call on Thursday from 8-9:30 A.M. at the Moore, Snear, and Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette St., Conshohocken, Pa. Interment will be in Our Lady of Czestochawa Cemetery, Doylestown, Pa.
