Heartfelt condolences to the Improto Family. Vince was a wonderful, kind, funny, generous and thoughtful man. I enjoyed talking and laughing with him when he came and visited Local 830. He always put a smile on everyone’s face. I’m thankful that I was fortunate enough to know Vince. He was loved by many. May he rest in eternal peace.

I was blessed to meet Vince and Glady’s daughter Kim when we worked together in our early twenties at the Mad Grocer in Norristown. Kim and I became fast friends and I was invited to spend time with the family at their Marco Island condo. My all-time favorite memory of Vince was the time he drove Kim and I and the girls to Florida. We were in a minivan and Vince piled all the luggage on the roof. I can’t remember if there was even a roof rack, but Vince “secured” the luggage with something.... I can’t remember all the details but we were probably halfway to Florida when another driver waved us down and said, “you lost some luggage on the road”. Instead of getting off at the next exit, Vince decided to pull over and BACK UP on I95 to retrieve the luggage. To this day, I still can’t believe he did that and we safely made it to Florida. Every time I saw Vince we reminisced about that drive. I’m grateful to have that memory. Rest in peace Vince, you lived a full life.
