Obituary of Douglas C. Smith

Douglas C. Smith, age 70, of Pottstown, PA passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020.

He was born in Reading, PA on March 30, 1950, the son of the late John F. Smith and the late Carolyn (Zerbey) Smith.

Doug lived most of his life in Collegeville and has been living in Pottstown for the last five years.  He was active with the Barn Playhouse where he also served on the board.  

He was the husband of the late Karen Ann (Litka) Smith.  

Survivors include his son Gregory (& Crystal) Smith of Collegeville; step father, Albert Neff; grandson, Bradley Smith; brother, David (& Tina) Smith; and two half sisters, Becky Hughes and Cindy Collins; and sister-in-law, Janet Howard.  

Along with his wife and parents, Doug was preceded in death by his sister, Elaine Nyce.  

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Friday,  August 14, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 West Main Street, Trappe, PA 19426.  The Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 AM.  Masks are required for all in attendance and the family asks that you adhere to social distancing guidelines.  

Interment will take place in Providence Mennonite Cemetery, Collegeville, PA.
