Obituary of Albert D. Krebel

Albert D. Krebel, 77, of Saunderstown, Rhode Island passed away January 24, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Loretta M. (McTamney) Krebel for 55 years. Born in Norristown, PA, he was the son of the late Albert D. and Elizabeth (Pollock) Krebel. Mr. Krebel graduated from St. Patrick High School in Norristown, PA in 1953. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. He received a BS in Management from Villanova University in 1960; and graduated from Harvard Business School, AMP in 1980. Mr. Krebel worked for Wallace Silversmiths, was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Gorham Silversmiths, was the President of International Silver Company, was the President and CEO of Farberware; and retired as President and Chairman of the Board of Reed & Barton Silversmiths. He was a former member of the 24 Karat Club in New York City and was Past-President of the Boston Jewelers Association. Besides his wife, he leaves five children and their spouses, Albert D. Krebel, Jr. (Irene) of New Haven, CT; Christi Taylor of Middletown, CT; Lori Curtin (James) of Saunderstown, RI; Kathleen Morgan (Michael) of Saunderstown, RI; and Kabrina Chang (John) of Boston, MA; and seven grandchildren, Brooke, Allison, Ian, Riker, Katherine, Lindsey and Ariana. He was the brother of Libby Jervis of Myrtle Beach, SC and the late Celine Hoy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 10:00A.M. at St. Gertrude's RC Church, 200 Bullock Avenue, West Conshohocken, Pa 19428. Friend may call on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at the Church. Interment will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery, Conshohocken. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445 OR St. Bernard Church, 415 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown, RI 02852 will be appreciated.
