Obituary of Stanley P. Borzelleca

Stanley P. Borzelleca, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2013, after a short illness, he was 88. Born on August 7, 1924 in Norristown, he was the son of the late Anthony and Anna (Tedino) Borzelleca. He graduated from Norristown High School in 1942 and served on the Reunion Committee for 70 years even though he lived in Florida. Stanley serviced in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II attaining the rank of Corporal, and he was one of the first to use radar. He loved music, and even played saxophone in the Eddie Holl Big Band. He was employed for 40 years by the Tose Trucking Company and also Carl Venezia Meats, retiring to St. Petersburg, Fl in 1984. During his retirement, he enjoyed volunteer work, bowling, playing cards and traveling. Stan and his wife, Marguerite, traveled to all 50 states and to six continents. His life is distinguished by his humor, compassion and generosity. He will be deeply missed. Stan is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Marguerite (DeAngelis) Borzelleca; daughters, Marian E. Borzelleca of Plymouth Meeting and Barbara (Gregory) Fritz of Laurel, MD; sisters, Carmela DeSanto of Bridgeport, Eugenia Riley of Eagleville, and Elizabeth Czop of Jeffersonville; grandsons, Louis W. Fritz of Reading and Sgt. Stanley P. Fritz, USMC. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass for Stanley on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC Church, 454 Fairfield Road, Plymouth Twp. with Rev. Msgr Charles L. Sangernano, Pastor, officiating. Friends may call Friday from 8:30 to 9:50 A.M. at the church. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, East Norriton. In honor of his wife's battle with Lewy Bodies Disease, contributions may be made in Stanley's memory to: Penn Memory Center, Attn: Chesea Brandt, 3615 Chestnut Street, Room 236, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
