Obituary of Katharine Fyfe

Katharine "Kathy" Metz Smith Fyfe, 72, of Lansdale, PA passed away on Sunday April 1, 2018. She was born in Norristown, PA on June 21, 1945. Katharine has lived in Lansdale, PA for the last 13 years, formerly of East Norriton & Plymouth Meeting, PA. She was a 1963 graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School in Pittsburgh, PA and received her bachelor's degree in biology from Geneva College in 1967. Katharine started her career as a Psychopharmaceutical Labororatory employee at McNeil Laboratories in Fort Washington, PA. She worked as a Medical Technician with Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, PA for over 29 years. Katharine was a lifelong member of Plymouth Meeting Evangelical Congregational Church of Plymouth Meeting, PA, member of the Valley Forge Chapter of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) and active in the Nazarene WOW group at the Fairview Village Church. Daughter of William M. & Virginia (Knerr) Smith of Pittsburgh, PA. Granddaughter of the late Walter A. and Edith K. Knerr of Norristown, PA. Survivors include her Husband: John M. Fyfe Lansdale, PA Daughter: Heather (& Michael) Licata Skippack, PA Son: Ian (& Jennifer) Fyfe Eagleville, PA Son: Brian Fyfe Lansdale, PA Brother: William M. Smith Mt. Lebanon, PA Sister: Cynthia Smith Finniss Morgantown, WV Also survived by 3 Grandchildren: Nicole Licata, Aiden Fyfe & Colin Fyfe. Nephews: Ryan Smith, Kyle Smith & Eric Smith. Niece: Andrea Moran. Beloved pug pet: Molly. She loved being with her family and adored her grandchildren best; it was the most fulfilling activity that gave her joy in her life. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA 19401. The Rev. Cam Smith officiating, pastor of Plymouth Meeting Evangelical Congregational Church, will be officiating. Friends may call on Friday Morning from 10:00 to 11: 00 AM at the Funeral Home.
