I am so very sorry for your loss. I knew Rachel from high school. She was always so nice, and willing to help anyone. We recently reconnected on facebook, and she was still that same positive girl, even when talking about her cancer. I pray that she is now at peace, and you can find some solace in that.

I am so sorry for your loss. Rachel was my daughter’s assistant coach on basketball and I only knew her and her daughter Emily for the past few months but she was a very kind and supportive coach and mother. She always had a smile on her face and it was clear how much she enjoyed being there in a supportive role. Please let me know if there is anything we can do to help during this difficult time.

Words are not enough to let you know how sorry I am that you have lost your beautiful daughter. She was lovely and I’m sure the light of your lives. I would give anything to be there to give you both a long hug. I am thinking of you all and praying for you for comfort and care during this terrible time. I know Rachel is in heaven with Jesus, I know she fought a strong battle against this horrible disease. “Precious Lord take me home”, I keep hearing the words to that hymn. I love you and Tony and wish you prayers of comfort and memories of laughter.
God Bless,
Nancy Ricci

I'd like to express deep sympathy for the loss of your loved one. I hope and pray this message brings comfort and soothes the pain that you are experiencing at this time. What has help me to cope and deal with the loss of a loved one is found in God's Word the Bible. John 5:28,29 says "The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his [Jesus] voice and come out." And at Revelation 21:3,4 it states that there will be a time when "death will be no more." You can find similar comforting verses at jw.org

To our sweet Rachel,
When I first heard the news of your passing, I was in shock. You were glowing when I ran into you, your husband and children at the court two years ago during Christmas.
You were an angel among us, that is for sure. We at DIA all feel so lucky to have gotten to work with you and become more than colleagues, we are friends, and we are really like family.
I will always cherish the laughs we had together and your reaction to my crazy sense of humor where you would just laugh at me and say "oh Jodi... you make me laugh" when I think of you, I think of Carrie and how close you two were, and my heart also breaks for her.
Pete, Emily, and Sam, my heart breaks for you. Rachel spoke of the three of you often and with a bright glowing smile. Know that she will always be with you.
I will miss your mother; she touched my life in so many ways.
Love, Jodi

Over the years, this family has become part of mine. Jokingly or maybe not, a possible Souza family connection. Like a Souza, family is family, friends are family. I was heart broken to hear Rachel had taken a turn for the worse. This is not the outcome we were praying for. My love, thought, and prayers to you all. I know she is proud of her family and will continue to be there in your hearts and that little voice. Love to you all.
