He is the son of the late Joseph and Rose Cardamone and the beloved husband of the late Emily Cardamone. He is survived by his daughters, Leslie Carol Schaefer (Adolph) and Laurie Ann Amabile; his grandchildren, Senta Gabrielle Clarke (Kevin), Adrian James Maurer (Margot) and Francis Alexander Amabile; and by his sisters, Elaine Jean DiCicco (Joseph) and Barbara Ann Marino (Peter), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his wife and parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his brother, Russell Cardamone; and sister, Josephine Colanzi. Jimmy lived in Conshohocken his entire life and he loved the town and town's people. He had many diverse friends, both young and old. He was a musician and Jazz aficionado and he introduced Jazz music to many of his young friends. Jimmy played the Alto Saxophone in his earlier years and then while in the Army he switched to the upright base, which since then became his instrument of choice. James was in the Army during the Korean War and he played music to entertain the troops. He met Emily Elizabeth Weller (deceased August 1995) from Altoona, Pennsylvania while he was playing a gig nearby. He loved Frank Sinatra and he passed away on a breezy spring night while listening to Frank sing; this on the same day Frank died, 20 years ago. We will all miss Jimmy.
