Obituary of Jean L. Berger

Jean L. Berger, 91, of Philadelphia, PA passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018. She was born in Shamokin, PA on May 8, 1927, a daughter of the late Harvey E. and Cora S. (Whery) Wolfe. Jean has been a resident of Philadelphia since 1945, formerly of Shamokin, PA. She was a faithful Christian and member of the Evangelical Congregational Church. She was a current member of Plymouth Meeting E.C. Church and a member of the former Bethel E.C.C. of Philadelphia and Christ E.C.C. of Jarrettown. She was a Lay Delegate of the E.C. Church for over 50 years. She also attended Bible Study at the Calvary Memorial Church of Philadelphia. She was the wife of the late Webster E. Berger and the late Charles E. Wiegand. Survivors include her daughter: Ann ( & Bill) Knauer of North Wales, PA; son: Robert ( & June) Berger of Hanlin , NY; daughter: Carole ( & Harry) Cheesman of Gordon, PA; three sisters: Anna, Barb and Ruth; 12 Grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. Along with her husbands and parents, Jean was preceded in death by 10 brothers and 1 sister. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 9, 2018 at 12:00 PM from the Plymouth Meeting Evangelical Congregational Church, 42 East Germantown Pike, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462. Friends may call on Friday morning from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Church. Interment will be private in Rosedale Memorial Park, Bensalem, PA.
