Obituary of Helen Ruth Murphy

Helen Ruth Murphy, 85, of Conshohocken, PA, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018. 

She was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 19, 1932, a daughter of the late Mary (Cunnane) and John Smith.

Ruth was a life-long Conshohocken resident and member of Saint Matthew's RC Church of Conshohocken. 

Ruth's greatest joys in life were raising her four children, and later caring for her four grandchildren. She also baked amazing chocolate cakes with homemade buttercream icing, enjoyed the company of many dogs and cats over her lifetime, and entertained her family with lively stories from the past. Her family was the center of her world, and she is dearly missed.            

Survivors include her daughter: Carole Anne ( & Vinnie) Radatti of Norristown, PA;

son: Kevin Murphy of Conshohocken, PA;

daughter: Sharon ( & Fredo) Brown of Chicago, IL;

and daughter in law: Stella Murphy of Conshohocken, PA. 

Ruth is also survived by four grandchildren: Erin Gorenflo, Haley Gorenflo, James Gorenflo Jr., David Murphy III. 

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son: David Murphy, Jr.; as well as her siblings: Frances Smith, Jack Smith, and Robert Smith.

Her Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 10:30 AM from St. Matthew's RC Church, Third & Fayette Streets, Conshohocken, PA 19428. 

Friends may call on Thursday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Church.   

Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
