Obituary of Geraldine D. Murphy

Geraldine D. ( Shore ) Murphy, 83, a homemaker of Collegeville, died Friday, February 14, 2014, at Columbia Cottage of Collegeville, Pa. Born in Conshohocken, Pa., on May 13, 1930, daughter of the late Raymond and Anna M. (Cook) Shore. Geraldine lived most of her life in King of Prussia, Pa. She had attended Trinity Episcopal Church and was an avid Temple University fan. She is survived by her husband, John J. Murphy Jr. of Collegeville; daughters Debra (& Charles) Kucher of Colmar, Pa., and Jackie (& Paul) Edgcomb of Princeton, N.J.; son Casey (& Terry) Murphy of Schwenksville, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Kristin, Kimberly, Torey, Lindsey, Carly, Carri, Zach & Brian; and two great-grandchildren, Charley & Aubree , Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers Albert, Robert & James; and three sisters, Rae, Ruth, & Virginia. Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014, at 11:00 AM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette St., Conshohocken. Friend may call from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be private in Valley Forge Gardens.
