Obituary of Rose N. Slater

Rose N. (Mondalto) Slater, 89, of Jeffersonville, Pa., died Friday, March 21, 2014 at her home in Jeffersonville, with her loving family at her side. Born in Belmont Hills on October 15, 1924, Rose has lived in Jeffersonville, Pa. since 1951, formerly of Belmont Hills. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi RC Church of Norristown, Pa. Graduate of Lower Merion High School. She was a homemaker and raising her family was her priority She was also a talented opera singer and seamstress, and a very good cook. She is survived by her husband, Joseph M. Slater of Jeffersonville; daughter Joanne McLaughlin, Johnstown; son Joseph (& Elizabeth) Slater, West Norriton; son Jerome (& Judith) Slater ,East Norriton; daughter Rosemary (& Herb) Holmes, East Norriton; daughter Regina (& John) O'Hara, East Norriton; son Jeffrey Slater, West Norriton. Also survived by 11 Grandchildren & 15 Great Grandchildren . Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Nancy Slater and son-in-law, Neil McLaughlin. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday March 27, 2014 at 10:30 AM from the St. Francis Of Assisi RC Church, Marshall Street at Buttonwood Street, Norristown. Clergy, Fr. James Goerner will be officiating. Friends may call on Thursday Morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the Church. Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville, PA.
