Obituary of William A. Toner

William A. "Bill" Toner of Conshohocken passed away suddenly on Friday, April 4, 2014 with his family at his side. He was 70 years old. Bill worked with the Philadelphia Inquirer for 33 years, retiring in 1999. He was the husband of 33 years of Roseann (Schafer) Toner. Born in Philadelphia, Pa. on Sept. 18, 1943, he was a son of the late Lawrence J. and Bernice (Perrine) Toner. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Bill has resided in Conshohocken for the past 40 years. He was a proud member of Teamsters Local 628 of Philadelphia. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and he will be sadly missed by all. Besides his loving wife, Bill is survived by two sons: William E. Toner and Bob Lawrence; five daughters: Sandy (Tom) Bowles, Donna Lawrence, Debbie (Mark) Folkman, Linda (Ross) Longo and Tina Lewis; two brothers, David and Michael; a sister, Frances; grandchildren Tanya, Alyssa, Ricky, Nicky and Frank; great grandchildren Jason, Kayla Alexis and Hunter . Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bill's Funeral Service on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 8:00 PM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, Pa 19428. Rev. Ricky Ayala will be officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6:30 – 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home Interment will be private.
