Cosmas & Damin RC Church and now a member of St. Matthew's RC Church of Conshohocken, Pa He graduated from Plymouth - Whitemarsh High School, class of 1964 where he was a Distinguished Graduate for Community Service and he also graduated from Temple University He was a veteran of the Korean & Vietnam Wars Bob worked as a mechanical Engineer with C & D Battery for 30 years before retiring and going to work with Central Montgomery County Technical High School as facilities manager for 10 years before retiring He was a volunteer Board member with Friends of Conshohocken Library, Secretary with Colonial Foundation, he also served 18 years on Colonial School Board, and was very active with Colonial Soccer Club and Inter County Soccer League and Bob still found time to play in an Adult Softball Laegue

Obituary of Robert M. O'Neill

Robert M. O'Neill, 68, of Conshohocken, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Chestnut Hill Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, PA on October 9, 1946, Bob had lived in Conshohocken, PA since 1971, formerly of Lafayette Hill, PA where he grew up. He was a longtime member of SS. Cosmas & Damian RC Church and now a member of St. Matthew's RC Church of Conshohocken, PA. Bob was a graduate of Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School and Temple University. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Bob worked as a mechanical/project engineer for C & D Batteries for 30 years and then as facilities manager at Central Montgomery County Technical High School for 10 years before retiring in 2012. He served for 18 years as a member of the Colonial Board and was honored as a Distinguished Graduate for community service by PWHS. Most recently he served as board member of The Friends of Conshohocken Library, secretary of the Colonial Foundation board of directors and the Inter-County Soccer League. Bob was a coach and player with both Colonial Soccer Club and Inter-County Soccer League for over 45 years. He also played in the Montgomery County Senior Softball League. Bob was an avid runner who participated in the DisneyWorld and Disneyland Marathons with his family for over 10 years. Survivors include Wife: Peggy (D'Addarie) O'Neill of Conshohocken, PA, Mother & Step Father: Marian (House) & Elwood Shilling of Audubon, PA, Sons: Vincent P. (& Stephanie) O'Neill of Alexandria, VA, David A. O'Neill of East Norriton, PA, Phillip J. O'Neill of Conshohocken, PA, Daughter: Joan Marie (& Mike) O'Dell of Cupertino, CA, Brothers: Peter O'Neill of East Norriton, PA, James O'Neill of Oreland, PA, Charles O'Neill of Lafayette Hill, PA, Dennis O'Neill of Conshohocken, PA, Brian O'Neill of Conshohocken, PA, and Sister: Mary Pat O'Neill of Conshohocken, PA. Also survived by a Grandson, Michael C. O'Dell . He was predeceased by his father, Peter A. O'Neill. His Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM from St. Matthew's RC Church, Third & Fayette Streets, Conshohocken, Pa 19428. Clergy: Fr. J. Thomas Heron officiating. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:30AM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, Pa. Interment will be private in a Military Cemetery.
