Obituary of Michael H. Tadeo

Michael H. Tadeo of Conshohocken, Pa., and most recently at Regina Nursing Home, passed away suddenly on Friday June 5, 2015 at Mercy Suburban Hospital in East Norriton, Pa., with his family by his side. He was 93. He retired after more than 30 years with Kulicke & Soffa of Ft. Washington, Pa., where he worked as a machine builder. He was the loving husband of 62 years of the late Helen (Opelski) Tadeo. Born in Conshohocken, Pa., on Oct. 8, 1921, he was a son of the late Joseph and Millie (Januzelli) Tadeo. A lifelong Conshohocken resident, he was a member of St. Matthew's RC Church of Conshohocken. He was a 1939 graduate of the former Conshohocken High School, where he excelled in athletics as a standout player on the school's football, basketball and baseball teams. Later, he was an All Star third baseman with the Conshohocken Industrial League Softball team and played softball well into his 60s. He was a proud WWII Veteran of the US Army Aircorps where he was stationed in the Pacific Theater of operations and attained the rank of Tech Sergeant. Mike Tadeo enjoyed gardening and being outside. But his greatest joy in life was spending time with his beloved wife, children and grandchildren. The family would like to thank his loving niece Patricia Marchese and the caring staff of Regina Nursing Home where Mike resided for the past 5 years. He is survived by sons, Thomas (Milissa) Tadeo of Bala Cynwyd, Denis (Michele) Tadeo of Lutherville, Md.; daughters, Anne Marie (Michael) Jones of Wexford, Pa., Mary Jean (Kenneth) Lee of East Norriton; grandchildren, Allison, Colleen (Jay), Lauren (Joseph), Michael, Andrew, Victoria, Kelsey, Dennis, Daniel, and Mary Carol; and great grandchildren, Joey and Tommy. He was preceded in death by his sisters Julia Marchese and Theresa Masciantonio, and his brothers Frank and Joseph Tadeo . A Funeral Mass for Michael will be held on Wednesday, June 10 at 10:30AM at St. Matthew's RC Church, Third & Fayette Streets, Conshohocken. Pastor Thomas Heron will be officiating. Family and friends may call Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 10:00 AM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, Pa. Interment will take place at St. Matthew's Cemetery, Conshohocken, Pa.
