John P. "Jack" Devitt, Jr., 90, of Blue Bell, PA passed away on August 1, 2015. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 2, 1925. He has lived in Blue Bell, Pa for 37 years, Formerly of Center Square. Member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church. Graduate of LaSalle High School class of 1943. Army – Air Force Veteran of World War II. Jack was an engraver on Sansom Street in Philadelphia, for over 60 years. Custodian of Prizes at Penn Relays, Member of Norristown Lodge No. 420 F. & A.M., Past President of LuLu String Band, also a member of Stewards Shriners. Jack enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing & Archery, he helped form Wapiti Archers. He was a delegate for the Pennsylvania Sportsman Association and a Committee Person & Area Leader for Whitpain Twp. Son of Late John P. & Marie (Carey) Devitt. Survivors include his Wife: Ann (Riemenschneider) Devitt of Blue Bell PA, Son: John Patrick Devitt of Audubon, Pa, Step Daughter: Laurie Davis of Shallotte NC, Step Daughter: Sharon DeFino of Stroudsburg, PA, Step Son: Thomas MacMinn of Boyertown PA. Also survived by 10 Grandchildren & 2 Great Grandchildren. His Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM from the Epiphany of Our Lord RC Church, 3050 Walton & Townshipline Road, Plymouth Meeting. Family will greet Relatives and Friends following the mass. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to: LuLu Shriners Transportation Fund. 5140 Butler Pike.
