Obituary of Margaret M. Nolan

Margaret M. "Peg" Nolan, age 85, of Plymouth Meeting, PA passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, August 30, 2019 surrounded by her family.

She was born in Philadelphia on July 31, 1934, the daughter of the late Francis G. and Margaret J. (Mooney) McMahon.

Peg was raised in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia and was a proud graduate of the Little Flower High School for Girls, Class of 1952.  She lived in Plymouth Meeting since 1968 and was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church.

Peg dedicated her life to her family and her many friends whom she loved dearly.  She was a woman of faith and humor.  She worked as an Assistant Manager of the Engineering Department for Bell Telephone until her retirement.  She enjoyed travel and, in her retirement, traveled to Europe and to all but one of our United States.

She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Nolan.

Peg is survived by her son, Raymond F. (& Anne Marie) Nolan of Conshohocken; two daughters, Margie (& Anthony) Tomassetti of Plymouth Meeting and Maureen Nolan of Aliso Viejo, CA; eight grandchildren, Daniel, Melanie, Patrick, Shawn, Meghan, Anthony, Raymond and Margaret; great grandchildren, Parker and Connor, and one great grandchild on the way.

Along with her husband and parents, Peg was preceded in death by her two brothers, James and Thomas McMahon.

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM from Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 3050 Walton Road, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462.  Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church.

Interment will take place in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham, PA.

The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses that cared for Peg during her illness.  They would especially like to acknowledge Penn Hospice for the care they provided Peg in her final days at home.

In keeping with Peg's wishes, in lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to: Little Flower High School for Girls, 1000 W. Lycoming Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
