Obituary of Donald H. Harrington

Donald H. Harrington, age 85, of Pottstown, PA passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at his daughter's home in Gilbertsville, PA.

 

He was born in Norristown, PA on July 30, 1934, the son of the late Harry Harrington and the late Florence (Hems) Harrington.

 

Don has been living in Pottstown since 1962, formerly of Norristown, PA.  He was a member of Valley Forge Baptist Temple.  Don was an avid hunter and especially enjoyed hunting small game.  

 

He honorably served in the U.S. Air Force.  

 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Barbara (Booz) Harrington of Pottstown; son, Allen (& Michelle) Harrington of Greenville, SC; daughter, Donna Lee Harrington (& Gregory Serratore) of Gilbertsville; four siblings, Harry Richard Harrington, William Harrington, Clayton Harrington and Ruth Harrington; two grandchildren, Jessica Harrington McCormick (& David McCormick) and Emily Allison Harrington; as well as two great grandchildren, Elliott Lennon McCormick and Evelynn Claire McCormick.  

 

Along with his parents, Don was preceded in death by his siblings, Margaret Hadfield and Edward Harrington.  

 

His Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM from Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 West Main Street, Trappe, PA 19426.  Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Monday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home.

 

Interment will take place at a later date in Riverside Cemetery, West Norriton, PA.
