We were friends of your Mom and Dad when they first were married and your Dad was in the Air Force.
Neither of us had any money and Joan and my wife Lou would canvas the local stores for bargains'. We halped the get their first house. We still remember them on Valentines day!!!
We had many happy memories from Denver and Florida were Bert and I were 2nd Lt's together. I stayed in the AF and when they got out we lost track of them. Bert and I actually launched one of the first US missals together a TM 61C "Cape Canaveral" Fl. (today they would call the drones). We had many good times together.
I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to get in touch with Bert & Joanie for many years,
Last night we were talking about them and I said I'll try again. Sadly, to be met by this Obit.

What a loss for anyone who ever met Joan! Such a lovely woman who always had a hug and a smile for me and my family! Who else can you say that about? Joan's musical talents were an inspiration - she loved her music, her family, and God. She was the real deal, in other words - an A+ in life! I will hope to have the honor of joining with her in the heavenly choir someday! May God hold you in the palm of His hand, dear Joan.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Loved your mom so much! She was a good friend to all who knew her, and a strong, incredibly gifted woman. She was the first person to really encourage me to have the courage to "think outside the box" and I will always be very grateful for that. Keeping you all in our prayers.
