Obituary of Mary D. Walsh

Mary D. Walsh, age 86, of East Norriton, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2019 at Bryn Mawr Hospital.

She was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 7, 1933, a daughter of the late Roderick and Rose (McGovern) McGuirk.  

Mary has been living in East Norriton for three years, formerly of the Morrell Park section of Northeast Philadelphia.  She was a founding parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church.  Mary was a proud graduate of Little Flower High School for Girls, where she was the second chair Violinist in the Orchestra.  

Mary​'s greatest joy was her family.  She enjoyed Sunday night dinners, gatherings at holidays, and time spent at the beach with those she loved.  

Mary was the beloved wife of the late Daniel F. Walsh, Sr.

She is survived by four children, Daniel F. (Susan) Walsh, Jr. of Ponte Vedra, FL, Mary Rose (Daniel) Pizzuto of Philadelphia, Thomas J. (Marilyn) Walsh of Levittown and Regina A. (John) Morton of East Norriton. 

She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Marissa, Kayla (Kevin) ​, Diane ​(Aaron), Daniel III, Anthony, Matthew, Mia and Eddie, and three great grandchildren, John, Paul and Sally.  

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Roderick E. Walsh, brother, William Taylor, and sister, Roseanne Ball. 

Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing Friday, November 1, 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 E. Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA 19401 and on Saturday, November 2, 9:30 to 10:15 AM in Christ the King Church, 3252 Chesterfield Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19114.  Her Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM.

Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
