Obituary of Lucille H. Schaeffer

Lucille H. Schaeffer, age 95, of Spring Mount, PA passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Phoenixville Hospital.

She was born in Washington Twp., PA on August 19, 1924, the daughter of the late Jay Johnson and Anna (Sarson) Hartung.

Lucille has been living in Spring Mount since 1972, formerly of Pottstown, PA.  She was a devout Methodist and faithful member of Evansburg United Methodist Church of Collegeville.  She was active in the United Methodist Women's Group and was a founder of the local chapter of Girls on the Go, mentoring younger women in the church.  

She was the wife of the late Donald  R. Schaeffer.

Survivors include her son, Eric (the late Susan) Schaeffer of Philadelphia; and two daughters, Donnas Schaeffer of Gilbertsville and Victoria (& Kevin) Land of Harrisburg; as well as three grandchildren, Anna Land, Elizabeth Schaeffer and Evan Schaeffer.  

Along with her husband and parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her siblings, Kenneth Hartung, Doris Knauer and Edna Hartung.  

Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 10:00 AM from the Evansburg United Methodist Church, 3871 Germantown Pike, Collegeville, PA 19426.

Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Church.  

Interment will be private in Montana Cemetery, Montana, NJ.
