Obituary of Joseph M. Leddy

Joseph M. Leddy, 86, of Conshohocken, Pa passed away on Tuesday January 12, 2016 . He was born in Norristown, PA on March 20, 1929. To Francis Leddy & Caroline ( Dempsey ) Leddy. Joseph was preceded in death by his loving spouse Mary Alice (Pendergast) Leddy. Joseph graduated from St. Matthew's High School and received a BS of Economics and a Master's of Science in Applied Statistics from Villanova University. Joseph had a long career as an accountant, working for a multitude of companies including the federal and county governments. In addition to his accounting career. Joseph was a member of the United States Army, where he received the National Defense Service Medal & Good Conduct Medal, employee of the Philadelphia Country Club, an active supporter of the St. Vincent DePaul Society, a Knights of Columbus 4th degree knight, and a Pro-Life advocate. Joseph was revered by his family and his community for being hard working and dedicated to his faith. A lifelong parishioner of St. Matthew's Church, Joseph, a devoted Catholic, was honored in 2014 for his many years of service to the church. Joseph is survived by 9 children Marie Marakovits of Roseto PA, Colleen Hurton of Stafford VA, Michael Leddy of Horsham, Pa, Geralyn Leddy of King Of Prussia PA, Monica Catanazaro of Harleysville PA, Linda Rojewski of Lansdale PA, Karen Palumbo of Lansdale PA, Matthew Leddy Of Lansdale PA, & Mark Leddy of Collegeville, PA and Many Grandchildren. His Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 10:00 AM from the St. Matthew's RC Church, Third & Fayette Streets, Conshohocken. Clergy: Fr. J. Thomas Heron will be officiating. Friends may call on Saturday Morning from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM at the Church Interment will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, East Norriton, PA
