Obituary of Alma T. Martella

Alma T. Martella, 85, of Schwenksville, PA passed away on January 23, 2016 . She was born in Norristown,PA on March 7, 1930 to the late John T. and Katherine M. (Kline) Golden. Alma was a homemaker and retired volunteer for the Foster Grandparent Program of Montgomery County. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's RC Church in Norristown before moving to Highland Manor in Schwenksville, where she resided for the past 12 years. While at St. Paul's, she loved helping out in the kitchen at the annual Christmas Bazaar and Summer Carnival. She had many good friends from her years living on Linda Lane in Norristown. Alma loved to read and do crossword puzzles. She also loved going to the casino, especially in Atlantic City. Survivors include her daughter, Lisa M. (Dave) Leggieri of Schwenksville PA; two grandchildren, David and Alyssa Leggieri; brother, James Golden of Eagleville PA; as well as many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her five brothers and three sisters. A brief service will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 7:30 PM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 W. Main St., Trappe, PA 19426.
