Obituary of Margaret T. Daley

Margaret T. Daley (Peg) of Blue Bell, died January 24, 2016. She is survived by her husband Edward of 59 years and 5 of her 7 children. She was born in Wilmington, DE on September 8, 1929. She was the daughter of Walter & Mildred (Brown) Taylor. Peg graduated from the University of Delaware and taught in Delaware schools until she married her childhood sweetheart. She was an active volunteer with the American Cancer Society and was a Data and Safety Monitoring Committee member with the Gynecologic Oncology Group of Jefferson Hospital. Peg played duplicate bridge, was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, especially to Ireland. She and her husband coordinated the travel group at her church for a number of years. She and her husband were active members of Marriage Encounter and also coordinated couples retreats at Malvern Retreat House and in the Poconos. She was the mother of Mary (& Jim) Mowery, Kevin, Mark, Margaret (& Brian) Rogers and Jeffrey (& Colleen) Daley. She was grandmother of 13; James Mowery, Christopher Mowery, Michael Mowery, Maura Mowery, Mary Rogers, Allison Rogers, Caroline Rogers, Margaret Rogers, Liam Daley, Caitlin Daley, Shawn Daley, Matthew Cress and Taylor Cress and a great granddaughter Camilla. Peg is also survived by her sister Phyllis Clark and a niece Elizabeth Pente. She was predeceased in death by her son Christopher and her daughter Katherine. Peg's Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 3050 Walton Road, Plymouth Meeting, Pa 19462. Fr. James J. Kelly will be officiating. A viewing will be held Thursday morning from 9:30-10:45 AM at the Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Peg's Memory to: Epiphany of Our Lord Music Ministry, care of Connie Steuer, 3050 Walton Road, Plymouth Meeting, Pa 19462.
