Obituary of Paul E. Biehl

Paul E. Biehl  

 

Paul E. Biehl, 88, of Audubon, PA passed away Monday June 1, 2020.

He was born  in Norristown, PA on October 21, 1931, the son of the late Louis F. and the
late Gladys A. ( Tyson ) Biehl.

Paul has been living at Shannondell at Valley Forge, formerly of Blue Bell, PA.

He graduated from Norristown High School and Spring Garden Institute of Philladelphia, PA.
He was instrumental in helping Spring Garden Institute become a fully accredited college.

Mr. Biehl served during the Korean War as a Staff Sargent in the US Army. Serving in the
579th, 581st & 584th Quartermaster Corps in Germany, France, Korea and the United States.
He won a sharpshooter medal for the Carbine, was awarded the Good Conduct Medal,
Occupational Medal for Germany and National Defense Service Medal.  He was honored in a Korean War Veteran
Recognition Ceremony  in May  2007.

He worked at Yarway Corporation for 42 years as the Managing Engineer.

Paul was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather.

He was an avid stamp collector, enjoyed reading and playing pinochle. For many years he
was active in the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America.
While living at Shannondell Paul participated in multiple Pool Leagues and the Bocce
League. He also tried out for the Senior Olympics Billiard Team.

He was the husband of the late T. Christine (Von Bergen) Biehl.

Survivors include his sons Thomas (& Debbie) Biehl of Silverdale, PA, John (& Rita) Biehl of
Conshohocken, PA,  Christopher (& Sheila) Biehl of Gilbertsville, PA, his brother Clark (&
Nancy) Biehl of Linfield, PA, his sister Peggy Collins of Albany, NY, and is also survived by
9 Grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.
                                                                     
Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother L. Charles (& Frances) Biehl and his son James Biehl.

A private service will be held Friday, June 5, 2020, at Moore, Snear & Ruggiero
Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown  Pike, East Norriton, PA.

Private interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery of West Norriton, PA.
