Obituary of Daniel P. Buggy

Daniel P. "Dan" Buggy  

October 1, 1964 – August 1, 2020

Daniel P. Buggy, 55, of Wayne, PA passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020.

He was born in Chestnut Hill, PA on October 1, 1964, the son of the late James A. and the late Ruth C. (Crumlish) Buggy, Sr.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother James A. Buggy, Jr.

He is survived by a son Daniel S. (& Ann Dee) Buggy of Lake Tahoe, CA, sisters Ruthanne (& John) Hoover of Glenside, PA;  Christine Buggy of Omaha, NE, Regina (& Susan Smith) Buggy of Chalfont, PA; Martie (& James) Hildebrand of Plymouth Meeting, PA; brothers Vincent T. Buggy of Wayne, PA, Gerard Buggy (& Deena Karas) of Boston, MA; sister-in-law Janet Buggy of Worcester, PA.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Dan grew up in Plymouth Meeting; he graduated from Plymouth Whitemarsh High School and he was retired from the IBEW Local #98, Philadelphia, PA where he worked as a communication technician.  From a very young age and into adulthood, Dan loved nature, animals, and fishing. He was an avid Philly sports fan and he also loved music. However, Dan’s greatest love was for his son Danny. When Danny announced that he and Ann Dee were expecting a baby girl, Dan was overjoyed by the news. Unfortunately, Dan will not be there to share in their joy, but we know he will be with them in spirit forever.

Dan was an active member of AA and NA and through the grace of God and the fellowship of these twelve step programs he enjoyed the best days of his life.

There will be a visitation for family and friends on Saturday, August 22, 2020 from 9:00 am to 10:15 am at Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 3050 Walton Road, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462 immediately followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:30 am at the same location.

Interment will be private.
