Obituary of Helen Ignas

Helen Ignas  

Helen Ignas, 61, of Conshohocken, PA passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020.

She was born in Abington, PA on May 6, 1959, the daughter of the late Charles and the late Ann Jane ( McMenimen ) Ignas.

Helen has lived in Conshohocken for the last 15 years, and formerly in the Wissahickon section of Philadelphia, PA.

Helen was a force to be reckoned with, never afraid to speak her truth and always more than willing to lend a hand to those she loved. 

For 30 years Helen dedicated herself as property and facilities manager at Oliver Tyrone Pulver Corporation.  She was passionate about her work at the Tower Bridge properties and the service to her tenants alike.

Helen then went to work as a Customer Service Representative with Home Depot where she would call her customers and coworkers, friends.

Helen enjoyed sailing, chartering many vessels as captain, lusting over couture fashion, old classic films and mid-century modern design but most of all enjoyed spending time with her friends and extended family with a glass of champagne in hand (preferably Veuve Clicquot). 

Rooney, Bella and Cha-cha were Helen’s cats which she rescued and treasured beyond measure.

She is survived by Brother James (& Alice) Ignas of Langhorne, PA, Brother John Ignas of Phoenix, AZ, Brother Francis Ignas of Philadelphia, PA, Sister Rosemarie (& Rodney) Clayton of Summerville, SC and Brother Michael Ignas of Missippi.  Also survived by many Nieces, Nephews and cousins that never tired of her endless lessons and support.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Charles Ignas and sister-in-law, Cathy Ignas.

Her service is being planned for Spring 2021.
