Obituary of Elfriede G. Mueller

Elfriede G. Mueller, "Oma", age 82, of Collegeville, PA passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

She was born in Karlsruhe, Germany on December 7, 1937, the daughter of the late Friedrich Wilhelm and Marie (Neininger) Muller. She grew up during the war in Germany. She became a retail clerk apprentice for a toy store in Karlsruhe. She loved to buy her younger brother train sets. To this day, Gerhard is still a huge train collector.

Elfriede immigrated to the United States in 1962 and taught herself how to read and write English. She proudly became a US Citizen in 1973.

Oma lived most of her life in Willow Grove, PA and has been living in Collegeville for the past five years.

She was a talented cook and enjoyed a long career with Cheltenham High School and the Germania Maennerchor in Philadelphia. After retirement, she worked with Wegmans in Warrington. She loved to travel with her friends John and Mary Marks taking many cruises over the years. She also enjoyed swimming at the YMCA and taking walks with her dog Schatzie. She was devoted to her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was the wife of the late Otto H. Mueller.

She is survived by three daughters, Carla Spears of Fernandina Beach, FL, Gisela (& Ron) Eubanks of Cape Elizabeth, ME, and Doris Mueller (& Ed Drummond) of Collegeville, PA; son, Stephen Mueller (& Sarah Samuels) of Downingtown, PA; and brother, Gerhard (& Christa) Muller of Neudenau, Germany. Oma is also survived by her seven loving grandchildren, Sean, Samantha, Brett, Jesse, Shelby, Otto and Porter.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Lambe, Helga Gierth and Erika Mayer. She was also preceded in death by her beloved dog, Schatzie.

Her Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 11:00 AM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 West Main Street, Trappe, PA 19426. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Friday morning from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be private in Rosedale Memorial Park, Bensalem, PA.
