Jorge E. Mallo, age 76, of Schwenksville, PA passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020.

He was born in La Paz, Bolivia on October 1, 1944, the son of the late Jose Mallo Portal and Ana (Gongora) Mallo.

Jorge and his family moved to the United States in 1980. Unbeknownst to the Mallo's they had family in Maryland who had previously migrated from Bolivia prior to their arrival. They reconnected with family in Maryland where Jorge enjoyed spending the holidays, especially New Year's Eve.

Jorge lived in Norristown before moving to Schwenksville, where he has lived for 16 years. He was a member of St. Aloysius RC Church of Pottstown. Jorge was also a member of St. Patrick Church of Norristown while residing in Norristown.

Jorge loved to laugh, joke and dance the night away. He enjoyed reading “Condorito” a Bolivian comic book series, as well as playing a very popular Bolivian dice game “Cacho”, with his family and friends.  Jorge was a huge fan of professional soccer and boxing. He was especially an avid fan of the Bolivian National Team and club team The Strongest. Jorge had a huge sweet tooth, especially for cheesecake.

He was the husband of Magaly (Gamboa) Mallo of Schwenksville.  Together they shared a strong and loving marriage of 46 years. They met in Bolivia while working for the Department Of The Protection of Children. They spent their spare time in Bolivia traveling throughout the country while enjoying the delicious street foods.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his son, Martin (& Juliann) Mallo of Schwenksville, PA; daughter, Vanessa (& Matthew) Putchat of Hellertown, PA; son, Juan Jose Mallo of Bolivia; daughter, Erika (& Rafael) Pardo of Alexandria, VA; daughter, Sandra Justice of Alexandria, VA; and sister, Yola Mallo.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Gabriel & Cameron Mallo, Adriana & Rodrigo Pardo, and Fabiola Helena.

Along with his parents, Jorge was preceded in death by his brothers, Jose & Freddy Mallo.
