Obituary of Marie E. Webb
Marie Entenman Webb, 96, of Worcester, PA passed away peacefully at home and surrounded by family on Sunday, December 27, 2020.
Marie was born in Conshohocken, PA on December 15, 1924, the daughter of the late Otto and the late Marie (Millhouse) Entenman. She has lived in Worcester Twp for the last 12 years, formerly of East Norriton and Conshohocken, where she graduated from St. Matthew’s HS in 1942. She was the wife of the late John B. Webb. They enjoyed 65 years of marriage.
Marie was a cherished member of her community and family. She was a founding member of St. Titus RC Church. As a young woman, Marie worked as a secretary with Lee Tire, where she met her husband John. She continued to work as his secretary while raising their six children. She dedicated her life to creating a warm and joyful home for first her children and then her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marie was an avid reader and crafter. She was an excellent cook, and she enjoyed traveling and playing cards with her friends. In addition to these more traditional hobbies, Marie had a passion for deep sea fishing and for spending time by the sea, most recently on annual family trips to Cape May, NJ.
Marie was known as Mom to her children and Gares to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was genuine, honest, caring, smart, and very funny. Throughout her life, her home was a place where family and friends would gather for food, conversation, and good counsel. This was true up to her final days and is a tradition that her large extended family will strive to continue.
Survivors include: daughter Regina (& Dale) Daniel of Lenoir City, TN; son Vincent (& Mary) Webb of Worcester, PA; daughter Anne (& late Bruce) Semigran of Jeffersonville, PA; daughter M. Patrice (& Stephen) Bobyock of Worcester, PA; daughter Loretta (& Scott) Lausch of Worcester, PA; sister Catherine Crabtree of Tuscaloosa, AL; brother Robert Entenman of Mechanicsburg, PA. She is also survived by 13 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.
