Chris:
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I remember meeting your father several times when we worked together at Suburban years ago!

Dear Mrs. Coletta and family,
Rich welcomed me to the science adjunct faculty at Gwynedd Mercy University. He was always warm and caring with faculty and students. I was especially grateful for his concern when I was awaiting the results of a medical test. His Christmas card and gift touched me as he did himself. Thank you for sharing him.
Prayers for your peace and his continued presence in your lives.

For those Plymouth Whitemarsh Senior High graduates who were blessed to have known Mr. Rich Coletta, or even more blessed to have been taught by him....the world has lost a loving, kind, gifted teacher and one of the best human beings to ever grace this planet. This man made an impression on all those with whom he came in contact, either in the classrooms or simply walking the halls of PW. He brought microbiology and science to life and, in doing so, managed to blend the miracles of life with an appreciation for the higher power responsible for these miracles. He taught us how to find the confidence, talents, and abilities in ourselves, even when we were sure they were absent. This man shaped my life through his encouragement, caring, and kindness, possibly more than any other teacher I have ever had (there have been MANY!). I have probably not seen him for over 30 years, but to this day, I recall countless quotes, stories, and pep talks with him, globally to his science classes, and personally to encourage a student who needed to learn to believe in herself. Mr. Coletta was a gift to everyone who had the great fortune to know him, and I hope he knew how significantly he impacted them all. Heaven has gained an angel. RIP, dear teacher and truly wonderful human being.
