Obituary of Catherine C. LeSage

Catherine C. LeSage  

Catherine C. “Sissy” (Lynn) LeSage, 86, of Audubon, PA passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021. 

She was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on March 25, 1934, the daughter of the late Robert and the late Catherine (Brown) Lynn.

Catherine has lived in Audubon, Pa. for 49 years, formerly of Philadelphia, Pa.

She was a member of St Teresa of Avila RC Church of Trooper, Pa. and a former member of St. Francis de Sales RC Church of Philadelphia, Pa.

She was the loving and devoted wife of 67 years to the Late - Edward J. LeSage. 

Survivors include, Daughter Maria Lynn (& Louis) LeSage Meehan, Daughter Catherine (& Larry Hoy) LeSage, Son Edward (& Rosellen) LeSage, Son Patrick (& Patty) LeSage, Daughter Megan (& Andy) Cook, Brother Thomas Lynn, Brother Fr. Larry Lynn, Brother Judge James Lynn, Sister Barbara Lynn, Sister Bernadette Lynn, also survived by 13 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.

Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by 2 sons Robert A. LeSage and Andrew S. LeSage, Grandson Daniel Edward LeSage, brothers Joseph Lynn and Robert Lynn, and sisters Carol Ann Lynn, Alice Lynn Williams, Eileen Lynn Fox, and Mary Pat Lynn Reynolds.

Sissy was a graduate of West Philadelphia Catholic High School for girls, class of 1952.  Upon graduation, she began working for the old Philadelphia Evening and Sunday Bulletin in the classified department. Soon after she began working at the Bulletin, she met and married the love of her life, Edward J. LeSage, a recently discharged Marine who served honorably in the Korean war.

They began a family raising five children while Sissy continued to work at the Bulletin and Ed as a Philadelphia police officer.

After moving the family to Audubon Pa. in 1972, Sissy began and continued to work as a legal secretary for numerous law firms until she retired.

Sissy enjoyed family parties, going to the beach, and attending her grandchildren’s many events throughout the years.  Family was a priority, and she was a caring friend to many!

Sissy loved her many years spending time “down the shore” with Ed, the family, and friends.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM from St. Francis de Sales, 4623 Springfield Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19143.

Friends may call on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the church. 

Interment will take place in Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
