Obituary of Josephine C. Zygmont

Josephine C. Zygmont  

Josephine C. ( Misiewicz ) Zygmont, wife of the late Edward C. Zygmont, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021.  Born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 31, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Izydor and Cecilia ( Kowalski ) Misiewicz.

Josephine lived in Conshohocken most of her adult life.  She was employed by Container Corporation of America as a Payroll Clerk until her retirement. An active member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, she served as Secretary of the St. Clare Society, local chapter of the Polish Beneficial Association and volunteered in the rectory. She was a founding member and Secretary of the St. Mary's Golden Age Club. While her health permitted, Josephine enjoyed bowling, baking and walking in the annual Pulaski Day Parade. She was a great friend and will be sorely missed by all.

She was preceded in death by a sister Helen Harrison and a brother Stanley Poniatowicz.

Survivors include her sister Theresa Szwedkowski of Conshohocken, Nieces Carol Mihm of Ridley Park and Jean Interrante of Conshohocken, Nephews Bud Swedkowski of West Norriton, Mike Poniatowicz of Conshohocken, and Stephen Poniatowicz of  The Villages, Fl.  Also survived by many Great Nieces and Great Nephews.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Monday, February 15, 2021 at 10:30 AM from St. Matthew's RC Church, 219 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA.

Friends may call on Monday, February 15, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the church.  Words of remembrance will be at 10:15 AM in church. 

Interment will take place in St. Benedict Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.  

Mass cards are appreciated and Memorial Contributions may be made in her memory to St. Mary Polish American Society - c/o 369 Summit Ave, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
