Gene has been living in Royersford for the past 8 years, formerly of Upper Darby. She was a loving woman and was always there for others. She took great care in raising her daughter and made sure she recieved a good education, earning her PhD. Gene had a very blessed 100 years and impacted the lives of many she met, even in her last years at Parkhouse, "leaving her mark" which will last for years to come. She was the best grandmother anyone could ask for, caring for her grandchildren with unconditional love. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

Gene Zhu , 100, of Royersford, passed away on February 27, 2016. Gene has been living in Royersford for the past 8 years, formerly of Upper Darby. She was a loving woman and was always there for others. She took great care in raising her daughter and made sure she received a good education, earning her PhD. Gene had a very blessed 100 years and impacted the lives of many she met, even in her last years at Parkhouse, "leaving her mark" which will last for years to come. She was the best grandmother anyone could ask for, caring for her grandchildren with unconditional love. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. She is survived her grandsons, John Fan and Jerry Gong. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and daughter, Jianying Fan Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 10:30 AM from the Washington Memorial Chapel, Valley Forge. Clergy: Rev. Jakub Wu will officiate. Friends may call on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Chapel. Interment will take place in Valley Forge Gardens, King of Prussia, PA.
