Obituary of Robert Joseph Craft, Sr.

Robert J. Craft, Sr, age 75, Collegeville(Graterford)PA, died on April 28, 2021 at Pottstown Manor Care.  Bob was born in Norristown, PA to John F. Craft and Esther M. Craft on June 28, 1945.

He was an altar boy at St. Matthews Church in Conshohocken, PA.  He attended St. Matthews High School and graduated from Conshohocken High School in 1963.  Bob was a volunteer fireman at the Conshohocken #2 Fire Co.  He was a Supervisor at Hale Fire Pump Co., B.F. Goodrich Tire Co. Commodore Semiconductor  Corp., and Fargo Assembly.  Bob was also an automobile salesman and a used car manager.  

He joined the U. S. Navy in 1963.  He spent four years during the Vietnam War, as an aviation machinist at Willow Grove Naval Air Station.  In 1966, he was promoted to Aviation Machinist's Mate (Reciprocal) Second Class Petty Officer.  He received an honorable discharge from the Navy in1967. 

He was a train enthusiast, loved fishing,enjoyed working on cars, a fan of the Phillies and the Eagles, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.  Bob loved animals, and gave feral cats a home. He also had many dogs.  He loved his Boston terrier Rocky and his three cats, Scooter, Freckles and Goldie.

He is survived by his loving wife Sharon of 55 years, a son, Robert, Jr. (Michael), and a daughter Michelle, three grandchildren, Gabe, Aiden, and Violet Sharon.  He is also survived by two nieces, Mary Kate Josten (John), and  Maria Elena Addalli(John)and their children, Juliano, Olivia, and Madisyn.  Bob was predeceased by his father, John, his mother, Esther, and his brother,John(Andrea).

Services and interment will be private.
