Obituary of Joyce May Werkheiser

Joyce May Werkheiser, age 83, of Norristown, PA passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021.

She was born in Florence, New Jersey on May 4, 1938, the daughter of the late Alfred and Margaret (Saia) Brown.

Joyce has been living in Norristown for over 50 years.  She was a faithful and active member of First Baptist Church of Norristown.  She enjoyed reading, arts and crafts, cooking and baking.  Joyce was a charitable woman and faithfully supported many good causes.  

She was the wife of the late Larry  K. Werkheiser.

She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Bartlett of Pottstown and Linda (& Harold) Nosek of East Norriton; two sons, Robert Bartlett of Audubon and James Bartlett of East Norritonl; step daughter, Gina Krause; step son, Gary Werkheiser; and sister, Doris Crabtree.  Joyce is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.  

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Holly Kehoe; daughter in-law, Jerri Bartlett; and brother, Alfred Brown.  

Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 10:30 AM from the First Baptist Church of Norristown, 445 Burnside Ave., Norristown, PA 19403.  Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Saturday, May 29 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Church.   

Entombment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, West Norriton, PA.
