Karen Roberta Pierson  

Karen Roberta (Smith) "Smitty" Pierson, 61, of Royersford, PA went home to be with her Lord on  Tuesday, May 25, 2021. 

She was born in Philadelphia, Pa on November 21, 1959, the daughter of Robert and Verna (Gray) Smith.  Descendants of the Mayflower, 7th of 11 siblings.

Karen has been living in Royersford for the last 35 years.  She was a 1977 graduate of Cheltenham High School, she joined Philadelphia Electric 2 weeks after high school and she worked there for over 38 years, 27 of those years after being run over by a truck and sustaining injuries that took 2 years to recover.

Karen is a member of the catholic church for over 61 years.  She was a Girl Scout leader, Softball coach, she loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles but loved Jesus and her family more.

Karen wants you to know that with God all things are possible, she was smashed into a tree thrown into a 10 feet cement culvert and run over by a F-150 truck and sustained injuries too many to list, she should not have had children and had 3 girls, she asked God 12 years after that for a boy and received a son.  Karen got through 4 tragedies with Jesus Christ who is True God and True Man!  Through Him all things are possible!

She was the wife of Late - David Pierson who passed on Jan 10, 2019. 

She was the Mother of 4 beautiful children, Daughter Krystal (& Jeff) Taglieber of Douglassville, Pa, Daughter Tiffany (& Shawn) Holzer of Perkiomenville, Pa, Daughter April (& Eric) Baylor of Reading, Pa, and Son David G. (& Haley Hunter) Pierson of Royersford, Pa.  She was also survived by her grandchildren Kayla, Joseph, Olivia, Pierce, Jase, Brinley and Baby Holzer, who were her world.  She was sister of Verna (& Dennis) Riveron, Timothy (& Sharil) Smith, Gregory (& Jill) Smith, Brian (& Nancy) Smith, Rebecca (& Garrett) Damott and Regina (&Terry) Hester.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 10:30 AM from Sacred Heart Church, 838 Walnut Street, Royersford, PA.

Her viewing will be on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 West Main Street, Trappe, PA. 

Interment will take place in St. Patrick Cemetery, East Norriton, PA.
