Obituary of Mildred T. Stunkard

Mildred Theresa (Corrigan) Stunkard of Skippack, PA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children on Friday, June 11, 2021. She was 87 years old.

 

She was born in DarbyPA on August 4, 1933the daughter of the late Lawrence A. Corrigan and Margaret (McCloskeyCorrigan.

 

Millie has been living in Skippack since 2014, formerly of Harleysville, and also a long time resident of Evansburg and Conshohocken.  She was a graduate of St. Matthew's High School, Class of 1951.  She later attended Montgomery County Community College and earned her Associate's Degree from Pierce Business School.  She was a member of St. Eleanor Catholic Church of Collegeville for many years, beginning in 1963.  Prior to her retirement, Mildred worked as an Executive Secretary for TV Guide.  After retiring, she enjoyed many years as an active member of Harleysville SAAC.

 

She is survived by two sons, Jack Stunkard, Jr. of Lower Frederick and Jeffrey Stunkard of Skippack; daughter, Margaret "Peggy" Black of Skippack; and three grandchildren, John, Victoria & Caitlin. She was the adored "Mimi" of her great-grandchildren Hannah, Bennett, Daniel, Emilia, and Isla.   

 

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Daniel J. Stunkard and brother, Lawrence H. Corrigan.  

 

 Her Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, June 17th at 11:30AM in St. Eleanor's RC Church, 647 Locust St., Collegeville, PA 19426.  Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Thursday morning from 10:30 to 11:30AM at the Church prior to Mass. 

 

A luncheon will immediately follow Mass at The Bay Pony Inn in Lederach, PA.

 

Interment will be private and take place at a later date.
