Obituary of Stephen Corbicz
Stephen Corbicz, age 95, of Schwenksville, PA passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Saucon Valley Manor in Hellertown, PA.
He was born in Boydtown, PA on August 13, 1925, the son of the late Michael and Anna (Lazorchick) Corbicz.
Steve has been a resident of Schwenksville for 64 years, formerly of Pottstown, PA and Ranshaw, PA, where he was raised. He was a faithful parishioner of The Church of St. Mary RC Church of Spring Mount. He was a Fourth Degree Knight and past Treasurer with the Knight's of Columbus, Fr. Bally Council #1192 of Stowe, PA. He was a member of the Ranshaw Hunting Club and the Brady Hose Company Fire Department.
He honorably served during World War II in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan.
Steve worked for the Bethlehem Steel Co. in Pottstown and later as a Carpenter for Merck & Co. in West Point, PA. He enjoyed working around his house on numerous projects, attending Bingo with his wife, going out to eat at many area restaurants and hearing about his Great Grandson's baseball games.
He was the husband of the late Dorothy A. (Dennis) Corbicz whom he was married to for 62 years.
He is survived by his son, Anthony (& Kathy) Corbicz of Gilbertsville; son in-law, Kenneth McCoy of Coatesville; sister, Julia Sitarski of Claymont, DE; grandson, Brian (& Shelly) McCoy; two great grandsons, Sean & Brandon; and three step grandchildren, Danielle, Gina and Anthony.
Along with his wife and parents, Steve was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna McCoy; and brother, John Corbicz of Marietta, GA.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Saturday, June 19 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 W. Main St., Trappe, PA 19426. Words of Remembrance will begin at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home. His Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM in the Church of Saint Mary, 40 Spring Mount Road, Schwenksville, PA 19473.
Interment will be private and at a later date in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's RC Church at the above address.
